Grab your coffee and settle in. This might be the most important thing you read all year. If you aren't familiar, here's a quick summary of the Four Fits. There are four main components to growth: product, market, channel and model. And to reach $100m at venture speed, you have to find four fits among them. Everyone knows about Product Market Fit, but that’s just one of the four: * **Product Market Fit** occurs when you build something that a meaningful segment of customers desperately wants. * **Product Channel Fit** recognizes that products must be built for the channels where customers discover them (channels do not mold to products).** * **Channel Model Fit** ensures your business model economics work with your chosen distribution channels.** * **Model Market Fit** confirms that your chosen business model aligns with how your target market prefers to buy and pay for solutions.** When a company achieves all four, growth feels easy despite organizational chaos or missing low-hanging fruit. These companies are **Smooth Sailers** —a little effort for lots of speed. Without these fits, growth feels much harder. Despite executing the best growth practices, picking the low-hanging fruit, and having a great team, they struggle to grow. These companies are **Tugboats** —a lot of effort for little speed. AI has massively changed each of the four elements as well as how they fit together.
