| | “The battle between every startup and incumbent comes down to whether the startup gets distribution before the incumbent gets innovation.” — Alex Rampell, a16z Lovable hit $100 million ARR just eight months from launch. There’s no better example of a company that found escape velocity. And still, there’s no guarantee they’ve found long-term defensibility or can turn this wave of interest into a sustainable business. There's a long list of incumbents Lovable is already doing battle with. Figma recently launched Figma Make to keep its 450,000 paying customers on the platform. Google’s new Firebase Studio is aiming to do the same with the millions of developers who use Firebase. GitHub launched GitHub Spark just as I was about to publish this article. Lovable is dealing with a set of market dynamics we call the Big Squeeze :
