As a market which demands growth, needs collaboration and can struggle to attract new talent, I hope that the demise of TradeLens doesn't deter tech entrepreneurs from choosing shipping as their hustle.Global freight forwarding growth is expected to contract by 2.4% in 2022 and reach a market value of €263,133m, as shown in Ti's free whitepaper Global Freight Forwarding forecasts for 2022 & 2023, published this week.The paper also looks at regional performance and how current supply chain constraints will influence recovery over the coming years.Whilst the sector considers constraints, it's also key to consider (and imagine) the freedoms of digitisation and how shipping _could_ look over the coming years, as the TradeLens and IBM team did.
